Do you plan to publish more books?
Absolutely. However, I they won’t all be spiritual self-help books. I have other kinds of books on my mind now too.
What else do you do to make money, other than write? It is rare today for writers to be full time…
It’s true; I couldn’t support myself by writing. However, writing supports my coaching practice, and I teach course based on what I have written.
What other jobs have you had in your life?
I have had so many different kinds of jobs in my life it would take pages and pages to list them all. A few: taught dance, financial advisor, sold diamonds, and waited on tables at a multitude of different kinds of restaurants and bars.
If you could study any subject at university what would you pick?
That’s a tricky question because I love being a student. I think I would like to take a smattering of courses from gardening to drawing, and maybe some history. The idea of learning and being creative with what I have learned is very appealing!
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
If that included a way to stay to see family and friends, I think my husband and I would like to live in New Zealand.
What are your goals as a writer?
The very simple goal I have as a writer is to communicate clearly to the reader. After that, my desire is to reach out as much I can, hoping that I will reach readers who would benefit from, and enjoy, my books if they knew they existed.
Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
A year after my husband and I first met, we decided to travel around the country to find a new place to live. While we traveled, I wrote what was happening and emailed it back to family and friends. Sometime I hope to put that trip into a book, although it may turn out it was simply a good bunch of emails and not a book at all. That is the only travel we have done specifically for a book. However, I do find that traveling does help me come up with fresh ideas about anything that I am working on, so an occasional trip is a good thing. Otherwise, I love being at home.
